I had the opportunity to sit down with Michelle, the owner of this wonderful company, this week and get to know more about her and what got her interested in her company and some of the ins and outs of her business.
Michelle Ferran is the owner of MyFerrLady (wonderful play on words there). MyFerrLady focuses on services like tarot reading, reiki, and she creates and sells her own all natural lotions and potions.
Reiki healing is a way to heal energy. Energy can stagnate in the body where there has been physical injury or even emotional pain. Without the proper treatment of your energy, it can cause illness. Reiki practitioners believe that improving the flow of energy around the body can enable relaxation, relieve pain, speed healing, and reduce other symptoms like illness. Reiki aids relaxation, assists in the body’s natural healing processes, and develops emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being.
The Tarot is a deck that contains 78 cards, each contains its own imagery, symbolism, and story. Psychics believe that tarot is the storybook of our life, the mirror to our souls, and the key to our inner wisdom. Tarot is not about telling the fortune of others, but having intuition.
All natural skin care has many benefits including being better for the environment, safer for your body, they don’t harm animals, packed with beneficial nutrients, easier on the skin, and leave no doubt about your health. What you put on your body ends up in your body, keeping that in mind, using all natural ingredients are better for your body, and keep you healthier and feeling fresher.
What got you interested in your business?
“Reiki was introduced to me when I was 18. The mother of a guy I was dating when I lived in Vermont was a practitioner and she worked on me a bit. She taught me how to work on myself and I did here and there going forward, but not as intensely as I do now, however, that comes later.
“My journey into tarot began about 6 months later. I was looking for a job and found phone psychics wanted “will train” in the paper. I thought that was hilarious, so I called. They used tarot cards and she taught me how to read them. I had a brief stint as a phone psychic, and it turned out I didn’t generally even need the cards. I continued to read cards aside from a few stifled years during my second marriage. So I have over 20 year experience with the cards!
“The lotions and potions came about 4 and a half years ago. We had discovered that my son’s spectrum symptoms are highly aggravated by artificial dyes and preservatives. I began by making an alternative to neosporin for him, but it does so much more!
“Everything morphed from there and a couple months later I had multiple people asking if I did Reiki. I took that as a sign and became certified through the levels and am a master/teacher. I incorporate a variety of different healing modalities into my practice.”
Was the product/service always something you have been interested in? If not, what really stuck when you learned about it more?
“I’ve always been interested in the energetic healing modalities, and once I started making the products that I do, and found I have a great interest in all that as well. It’s led to many research rabbit holes as well as certification courses.”
What have you learned about your product/service?
“I continually learn more and more everyday. I learn which oils and herbs do what and how, I’ve taken a couple different reiki courses to get different perspectives as well as cognitive behavioral therapy and I am certified at the master/teacher level with EFT/TFT tapping.”
How do you think people would benefit from your product/service?
“Everyone can use energy healing, I’ve found the more practitioners there are, the better since people resonate differently with different people, so I teach various different programs. I am able to see the higher version of those around me and can help them on their journey to better health and wellness.”
What is something you wish people knew more about your product/service?
“I wish more people understood the value of energy work and natural living and so I share as much as I can!”
